Credible Hosting Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

To ensure that Credible Hosting servers remain fast, safe, secure, and affordable, we strictly enforce our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). This policy supplements our Terms of Service (TOS) and may include items already covered there.

Overview

The following activities violate our policies and will result in immediate account termination without notice:

• Spamming: Sending unsolicited emails or posting irrelevant messages in newsgroups, especially when they link to sites hosted on our servers.
• Illegal Activity: Hosting sites that encourage illegal actions, promote racism, or provide instructions for illegal activities.
• Copyright Infringement: Hosting or linking to content that infringes on copyright laws.
• Security Violations: Attempting to breach system or network security or tampering with systems to cause harm.
• File Sharing: Hosting peer-to-peer or hacking-related file-sharing sites.

Specific Violations (Non-Exclusive List)

In addition to the above, the following activities are prohibited:

• Booter Scripts: Using scripts designed to launch attacks.
• Child Pornography: Hosting, distributing, or linking to child pornography.
• Cracking & DoS Attacks: Unauthorized access or denial-of-service attacks on network devices.
• Fraud & Phishing: Hosting sites intended to deceive or steal identities, including phishing schemes.
• Hate & Terrorism: Hosting or linking to hate speech or terrorist content.
• Trademark Infringement: Hosting or linking to content that violates trademarks.
• Resource Abuse: Overusing system resources beyond acceptable limits.

Resource Usage

• Users must not exceed 10% of system resources for more than 90 seconds.
• Running server-side processes, interactive real-time chat applications or gaming servers is prohibited.

Hosting Restrictions

• Reseller Hosting: Resellers must ensure their clients comply with our TOS and AUP. Free hosting is not allowed.

Disk Space & Bandwidth

Our hosting plans include set limits on disk space and bandwidth, sufficient for 99.95% of our customers. Excessive usage, especially for storage or file sharing, may lead to account limitations. If your usage exceeds normal levels, we will notify you to reduce it within 48 hours.

Account Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Violate our TOS or AUP.
• Provide invalid details.
• Initiate chargebacks.
• Engage in abusive behaviour towards our company or staff.
